Canoing

Canoes can be hired for use on the River Dronne at Brantome. Drive to the base near Brantome, then they drive you in a minibus upstream of this beautiful town and you can spend a pleasant 2 hours canoing back to the base. Take a change of clothes because you go over several weirs and you will get wet! Wear crocs or similar, or if you won't be seen out in public in them, they will hire you a pair.
