There are several places to ride nearby, where you are able to go for a hack to explore the countryside on horseback - the best possible way.
The riding is wonderful, particularly for anyone tired of the traffic and lack of bridleways at home. There are miles of tracks which wind past lakes and waterfalls and through tiny hamlets of stone French cottages. The horses are forward-going but well behaved. Some of the yard owners don't speak much English, but we can book a ride for you if you aren't confident your language skills are up to it.
